Robert Sherrill, MBA, PT, CHT, CEAS
Physical Therapist,                               Certified Hand Therapist,
Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist,
Clinic Director

Robert(Bob) is originally from Farmington, Missouri and is a 1993 graduate of the University of Missouri–Columbia Physical Therapy Program. He began his career as an outpatient physical therapist specializing in a wide range of orthopedic conditions. He completed his board certification in hand therapy in 1998  at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He co-founded Mid America Rehab in 1994 where he has worked since specializing in sports, industrial, and hand rehabilitation.  Robert  also has a particular expertise with functional employment testing and sits as a member of the board of directors of WorkSTEPS®, Inc., the nation's largest employment testing company. He is a well-respected clinician and has taught Hand and Orthopedic Rehabilitation as a member of the faculty at the University of Missouri – Columbia for more than 10 years. On a personal note, he has a young son and an older step-son. He is an avid fly-fisherman and always enthusiastic to talk fishing with those who will listen.

 

Matt Rubel, MBA, PT, CEAS
Physical Therapist,
Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist,                                         
Industrial Rehabilitation Director of Cape Girardeau and Ste. Genevieve Clinic

 

Matt is a 2000 graduate from Maryville University with a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Therapy. He received his Master's in Business Administration in 2005. Matt's main focus is in orthopedic physical therapy with emphasis in workman's compensation and industrial rehab. He is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and leads the Industrial Rehab program at our Cape Girardeau facility. On a personal note, Matt's wife is a physical therapist as well, and they have four daughters that are four years apart in age. He enjoys doing outdoor activities with the girls and is a big St. Louis Cardinal fan.

 

Kirt Burger, PT
Physical Therapist

Kirt is a 2001 graduate of Maryville University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy. Kirt specializes in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. He is skilled in the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of orthopedic conditions and is currently training for a Master Certification in Manual Therapy. He is an energetic and outgoing therapist who brings much enthusiasm to the clinical setting. On a personal note, Kirt is married and enjoys sports, the outdoors, and spending time with friends.

 

Matt Holder, ATC
Certified Athletic Trainer

Matt is a 1996 graduate from Southeast Missouri State University Athletic Training Program. He has dedicated his career to the evaluation and treatment of the high school/collegiate athlete. Matt is well respected for his knowledge and clinical abilities, whether on the field of play or in the clinic. He is widely known for his dynamic personality and personal touch with his patients.

Stacia Shipman, MPT
Physical Therapist

Stacia is originally from Dexter, Missouri and is a 2003 graduate from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Stacia specializes in rehabilitation of complex orthopedic conditions and also specializes in rehabilitation of hand and upper extremity conditions or trauma. She is currently training for a Master Certification in Manual Therapy. On a personal note, Stacia is married and has a young son and daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves swimming and any outdoor activities with her children.

 

Kenda Clark, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant

Kenda is a 2001 graduate from Southeast Missouri State University with an associate’s degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s of science in Health Management and Health Promotion in 2004. Kenda has experience in outpatient, hospital inpatient, SNF, and home health. She currently focuses on outpatient care. On a personal note, Kenda lives with her dog and three cats. She enjoys reading, working out in the yard, and watching sports on TV, especially the St. Louis Cardinals.
