Race Across the River is Mid America Rehab’s newly reimagined annual race, created to celebrate a once‑in‑a‑lifetime moment for our community. Formerly known as the 5K Rally Run, this year’s event has been renamed to honor the opening of the Don Welge Memorial Bridge—the stunning new connection between Missouri and Illinois.

For the first time ever, participants will have the rare opportunity to run, walk, or push a stroller across this beautiful new bridge, taking in sweeping river views and experiencing the landmark in a way that won’t come again. Whether you’re a competitive runner chasing your best time or someone who simply wants to enjoy a relaxed stroll with friends and family, Race Across the River is designed for everyone.

This event continues Mid America Rehab’s tradition of promoting health, community, and togetherness. It’s more than a race—it’s a celebration of progress, connection, and the people who make our region strong.
